South Western’s Michaela Sentz and Delone Catholic’s Ellie Neudecker are champions, again.
Sentz repeated as the Class 3-A champion at the York-Adams League Girls’ Singles Tennis Championships at Wisehaven Tennis Center on Saturday.
Neudecker, meanwhile, captured her third straight league Class 2-A crown.
In a rematch of the 2017 title match, the top-seeded Sentz again edged New Oxford’s Kamdyn Balko, 6-7 (7), 6-0, 6-3. Balko came in as the No. 3 seed.
In the 3-A semifinals, Sentz defeated Susquehannock's Julianne Cassidy, the fourth seed, 6-1, 6-0, while Balko beat Dallastown's Meghan Salaga, the second seed, 6-3, 7-6 (2).
Cassidy took third with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Salaga.
The top-seeded Neudecker, meanwhile, beat her own Delone teammate, Becca Dolce, 6-0, 6-1, in the 2-A final. Dolce, the No. 4 seed, had upset No. 2 seed Brianna Miller of Kennard-Dale in the semifinals, 6-4, 6-3.
In the third-place 2-A match, Eastern York’s Evelyn Whiteside beat Miller, 6-1, 6-4. Whiteside, the third seed, fell in the semifinals to Neudecker, 6-1, 6-0.
