GIRLS' TENNIS: South Western hands Dallastown a rare York-Adams Division I setback

South Western may have taken a giant stride toward winning the York-Adams Division I girls' tennis title on a steamy Wednesday afternoon in Hanover.
The Mustangs knocked off traditional power Dallastown, 3-2.
Dallastown has won four straight D-I titles, and since 2000, has won 14 of the 18 D-I championships. The Wildcats had not lost a D-I match since 2013, going 36-0 in the division during the previous four seasons.
The Mustangs received singles victories from Michaela Sentz and Emma Hynson. Also for South Western, Sydney Zepp and Sarah McComas captured the No. 1 doubles match.
For the Wildcats, Morgan Kistler won a singles match, while Bri Beverly and Emily Sarro won the No. 2 doubles match.
South Western is now 1-0 in the division and 4-0 overall. Dallastown fell to 1-1 in the division and 2-1 overall.

West York 3, York Catholic 2: At Springettsbury Township Park, the Bulldogs captured a narrow York-Adams Division II victory.
Audrey Kinney, Alisa Steele and Chloe Hoover picked up West York wins.
West York is 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the division. York Catholic is 1-1 both overall and in the division.
