GIRLS' TENNIS: Dallastown wins outright D-I title
- Dallastown rolled past Susquehannock on Monday, 5-0.
- The Wildcats finished a 9-0 in York-Adams Division I action.
- Dallastown has won three straight D-I titles and own 12 D-I titles since 2000.
Dallastown sewed up the outright York-Adams Division I girls' tennis championship on Monday afternoon with a 5-0 victory over visiting Susquehannock.
The Wildcats finished at 9-0 in the division, while Susquehannock dropped to 5-4.
Dallastown has now won three straight D-I titles. The Wildcats have also earned 12 D-I titles since 2000.
Christie Friedrich (No. 1), Madi Reed (No. 2) and Morgan Kistler (No. 3) swept the singles. Meghan Salaga and Taylor Jones teamed to win No. 1 doubles, while Lindsay Sheaffer and Bri Smith joined to win No. 2 doubles.
Red Lion 5, Gettysburg 0: At Red Lion, the Lions received singles victories from Tori Austin, Helen Zeidman and Emily Zeidman. In doubles, Destiny Mann and Kaitlynn Lower won the No. 1 match, while Cora Beyer and Abigail Mitzel won the No. 2 match.
Central York 5, Spring Grove 0: At Central York, the Panthers received singles victories from Kara Holland, Elisabeth Ketterman and Abby Jovich. In doubles, Madison Mummert and Daniella Feistritzer won the No. 1 match, while Lily Richwine and Sarah Kohr won the No. 2 match.
York Catholic 5, Hanover 0: At Hanover, the Irish received singles victories from Annie Javitt, Erin McBrairty and Mayra Hernandez. In doubles, Betsy Allen and Abby Drabik combined to win the No. 1 match, while Sadie Wurzbach and Carolyn Albright combined to win the No. 2 match.
York Suburban 5, Littlestown 0: At Littlestown, Liv Pindzola, Samantha Clancy and Elizabeth Huh all secured singles wins for Suburban, while the teams of Maddie Lenker/Dilly O’Donnell and Lucy Smith/Skylar Volz won in doubles.
South Western 3, Northeastern 2: At Hanover, the Bobcats received a straight-set singles victory from Courtnee Hoff, while teammates Brynn MacDonald and Lindsey Myers captured the No. 1 doubles match in straight sets.
Biglerville 3, West York 0: At Biglerville, neither team had enough players to field a doubles team.
