GIRLS' TENNIS: Dallastown earns at least tie for title

Dallastown clinched at least a tie for the York-Adams Division I girls' tennis title on Tuesday with a 5-0 victory over visiting Spring Grove.

The Wildcats improved to 8-0 in the division and can clinch the outright crown with a win Wednesday at home against Susquehannock.

It's the third-straight year that Dallastown has won at least a share of the division championship.

Christie Friedrich (No. 1), Madi Reed (No. 2) and Morgan Kistler (No. 3) swept the singles. Meghan Salaga and Taylor Jones took No. 1 doubles, while Lindsay Sheaffer and Bri Smith triumphed at No. 2 doubles The Wildcats lost just two games in the entire match..

Central York 5, Susquehannock 0: At Glen Rock, the Panthers received singles victories from Madison Mummert, Kara Holland and Elizabeth Ketterman. In doubles, Lily Richwine and Sarah Kohr combined to win the No. 1 match, while Daniella Feistritzer and Olivia Quartey won the No. 2 match.
