GIRLS' TENNIS: Susquehannock edges Northeastern


Susquehannock outlasted Northeastern for a 3-2 girls' tennis victory on Wednesday afternoon in Glen Rock.

Jessica McDonald and Julianne Cassady each captured a singles match, while Allana Jones and Jenny Sproul combined to win a doubles match to secure the win for the Warriors.


For the Bobcats, Courtnee Hoff won a singles match, while Brynn McDonald and Lindsey Myers combined to win a doubles match.



New Oxford 3, Central York 2: At Pleasureville, the Colonials took two of the three singles matches and then split the doubles matches to knock off the Panthers. Dagney Markle and Kamdyn Balko won at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively, for New Oxford, while Kasi Conjack and Mikayla Wayne won at No. 2 doubles. For Central, Kara Holland won at No. 2 singles and the team of Abby Jovich and Lily Richwine won at No. 1 singles. New Oxford improved to 4-1 in York-Adams Division I. Central fell to 2-2.

York Catholic 4, Bermudian Springs 1: At Springettsbury Park, the Irish received singles victories from Erin McBrairty and Mayra Hernandez, while Abby Drabik and Betsy Allen combined to win the No. 1 doubles match, and Sadie Wurzbach and Carolyn Albright captured the No. 2 doubles match.

Kennard-Dale 3, West York 1: At West York, the Rams were victorious in one of the two singles matches and then earned a forfeit in a doubles match to defeat the Bulldogs. Brooke Siebert won at singles for K-D, while Megan Hawkins and Genevieve Ostmann won in doubles for the Rams. Lydia Fairlamb won the only point for West York at No. 1 singles.

South Western 5, Red Lion 0: At Red Lion, the Mustangs received singles victories from Michaela Sentz, Sabrina Lam and Emily Newton.
