Kennard-Dale girls' lacrosse team earns pivotal York-Adams League win vs. York Catholic

The Kennard-Dale girls' lacrosse team earned a pivotal York-Adams League triumph on Friday, beating York Catholic, 13-9, in a battle of traditional powers.
Maddie Day (five goals, one assist), Megan Halczuk (three goals) and Morgan Bowings (two goals, one assist) paced K-D.
The Irish were paced by Sarah Mazzur (three goals, assist), Ella Linthicum (three goals) and Laura Frey (two goals).
K-D goalie Maria Schneider posted 11 saves, while York Catholic goalie Kirsten Lake made 10 saves.
The defending York-Adams champion Rams improved to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in the league.
On Saturday, South Western also downed York Catholic, 14-11, to improve to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the league. The Mustangs are tied for second with Susquehannock, a half game behind first-place Central (4-0 in league and 5-0 overall). York Catholic dropped to 1-2 both overall and in the league.
