Spring Grove High School's Patrick Anderson has been selected as the 2018 winner of the Quarterback Club of York's Charles Larson Memorial Scholarship.
Anderson will received $4,000 to attend of the college of his choice.
The award will be presented at the club's banquet on Thursday, Feb. 15, at Out Door Country Club. The event begins at 6 p.m.
Anderson is No. 1 in his senior class and was also an honorable mention selection at defensive end on the 2017 York-Adams League Division I Coaches' All-Star Team.
Anderson was one of six finalists for the award. Roy Robbins of the QB Club said that this year's nominees were among the best the group has ever considered.
The other finalists were: Sean Wolfe, South Western; Alec Kramer, Susquehannock; Zachary Throne, Red Lion; Mason Figdore, Dallastown; and Jacob Taylor, York Suburban.
In addition to Anderson, the club will also honor the York-Adams League Players of the Year at its banquet. They are: Nyzair Smith, Dallastown, offense, Division I; Rob Rideout, York High, defense, Division I; Ay'Jaun Marshall, West York, offense, Division II; Chase Heath, Dover, defense, Division II; Kyle Dormer, York Catholic, offense, Division III; and Zach Schussler, Delone Catholic, defense, Division III.
