Friday night football: Off the Field at Dallastown High

The energy was fierce at Dallastown High School as the West York Bulldogs took on the Dallastown Wildcats home team at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8.

At West York’s third game of the season, fans showed up to support their team with red white and blue tutus, leggings, socks and capes. The cheering section of West York High School seniors was in full force, amid shouts of “Let’s go bulldogs!”

The Dallastown fans made a strong showing for their home team and filled the stands.

More than 30 cheerleaders faced the home team crowd, with a cheer of “First and ten…go, fight, win!”

The halftime show showcased the West York marching band and color guard, which performed several songs, including, “Take on Me” by '80s group, A-ha. The Dallastown Dance Team rounded out the show with a hip-hop routine.

The final score for the game was Dallastown 56, West York 20.
