Among the returning starters are Corey Wise, who passed for 756 yards as a freshman, and Andrew LaManna, who caught 20 passes in 2016.
West York head coach Jeremy Jones said the players are excited for the season.
"They don't want to go 2-8 again," Jones said.
The Bulldogs' head coach thinks there are two keys to a successful season for his team.
"Maintaining our health is huge because we don't have a lot of depth, plus making sure our kids keep getting better."
West York faces a highly demanding schedule. Along with their York-Adams Division II opponents, the Bulldogs take on two Class 5-A powers, Manheim Central and Governor Mifflin, and two Division I teams from their own league, Central York and Dallastown.
Quotable: "Playing good teams helps make your team better." — senior Nick Spadafora.
