The Green Knights took down District 4 champion Warrior Run on Tuesday night at Cumberland Valley High School, 3-0, in the state semifinals to advance to Friday's state championship game.

Fairfield and Warrior Run played to a scoreless first half, but the deadlock was broken early in the second half by Hannah Logue. Annabel Anderson made it 2-0 late in the second half after slotting home a nice feed from Logue to give Fairfield insurance. Nora Clarke then scored in the waning minutes to put the game to rest.

Fairfield has now outscored its three state playoff foes, 18-3.

Fairfield (23-1) will take on District 7 champion Shady Side Academy in the title game. Shady Side defeated fellow District 7 foe Greensburg Central Catholic, 2-1, on Tuesday night.

Friday's title game is set for an 11 a.m. kickoff at Hersheypark Stadium.

Gettysburg boys see season end: The Gettysburg boys' soccer team saw its best-ever state tournament run come to an end on Tuesday night, losing to Northwestern Lehigh, 1-0, at Cedar Crest High School.

The only goal came late in the first half when Dominic Martz scored on a loose ball in front of the Warriors' goal. The District 11 champions took that lead into the break and then held onto it in the second half to book its spot in Friday's championship game against District 3 champion Lower Dauphin. Lower Dauphin defeated Cathedral Prep in overtime on Tuesday night, 2-1.

Gettysburg finished 24-4.
