There are now three York-Adams League high schools advertising for new varsity head football coaches.

In an email sent out on Tuesday, Brandon Renoll, the interim athletic director for the Southeastern School District, announced that he is accepting applications for the head varsity football coaching position at Kennard-Dale High School.

Patrick Weider started out as the Kennard-Dale head coach for the 2015 season. Weider, however, was replaced at midseason by co-head coaches. Former assistants Eric Updegrove and Christopher Grube served as the co-head coaches.

During the season, Renoll would not comment on the reason for Weider's departure and did not immediately return a request for comment on Tuesday.

The Southeastern School Board's October agenda recommended the "termination" of a football coach at Kennard-Dale High School be accepted, effective Oct. 1.

Weider was 2-12 in 14 games at K-D. The Rams finished the 2015 season at 3-7.

Those interested in the job should contact Renoll at: Kennard-Dale High School, 393 Main Street, Fawn Grove, Pa., 17321; or email him at renollb@sesd.k12.pa.us; or phone him at (717) 382-4871, ext. 1861.

K-D joins York High and New Oxford in looking for head football coaches. The combined overall record of those three schools was 5-25 this fall.

York High, as normal, opened up its head coaching position after the season. York AD Joe Chiodi said Shawn Heinold decided not reapply after the winless season (0-10) that featured a school board meeting where upset parents registered complaints about the state of the program. Heinold was 17-44 in six seasons.

New Oxford, meanwhile, also opened up its job after a 2-8 campaign. Jason Warner led New Oxford on an interim basis this fall after Jason Thurston resigned on June 11 after three years with the program. The Colonials were winless (0-10) in 2014.
