Outlook: Coming off its worst season in a decade, Littlestown looks to return to prominence in what could be a milestone season for head coach Mike Lippy.
The coach enters the season with a career record of 95-42, so if the 'Bolts can go at least 5-5 he'll collect career victory No. 100.
But getting back to their winning ways will be difficult. Littlestown lost a fair amount of talent to graduation. Chief among those loses is Lucas Reynolds, who had more than 1,000 combined yards rushing and receiving and posted 65 tackles on defense. All-star fullback Zach Brown is also gone, as is fellow all-star tackle Zach MacLeod.
Quarterback Cody Boyd returns to lead the offense and he will look for help from junior running back Wesley Storey.
Littlestown's schedule is a repeat of that from a year ago. Things will get interesting for the 'Bolts late in the season if they are back toward the top of the standings.
Littlestown closes with two out of three on the road. One trip is to a Biglerville team that not only defeated Littlestown last season, but the Canners also figure to be improved this year. The other is a trip to Fairfield to close the season.
Sandwiched in between is a home contest against last year's division champion in Bermudian Springs.
Coach speak: "I'm excited about the fact that it's a new season. It was a down year for us last year, wasn't a typical Littlestown team. So now we've got to move forward and correct those mistakes from last season; so we're looking forward to getting into league play." — Littlestown head coach Mike Lippy.
