New Oxford edges Bermudian Springs to capture York-Adams field hockey crown


The New Oxford field hockey program has captured its first York-Adams League championship.


The Colonials edged Bermudian Springs 1-0 on Thursday, Oct. 19, at Northeastern High School.

New Oxford won despite collecting just two shots on goal for the evening.

Division III champion Bermudian held a strong statistical advantage, but couldn't put a shot into the back of the cage. The Eagles came into the game at 20-0.

New Oxford improved to 15-2-2.

Elizabeth Farmer scored the game's only goal at the 12:51 mark of the second half.
