York-Adams League Field Hockey Tournament pairings set

  • The York-Adams League Field Hockey Tournament semifinals are set for Wednesday.
  • Susquehannock will face Bermudian in one semifinal. The other semi pits Dallastown vs. Littlestown.
  • The league championship game is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Bermudian Springs.

The third tiebreaking procedure had to be used to determine the field for the York-Adams League Field Hockey Tournament.

Bermudian Springs and Gettysburg finished tied for the Division III championship at 12-1. Only the four division champions advance to the league tournament.

The first tiebreaker is head-to-head competition, while the second tiebreaker is the results of games vs. teams in their own division, from top to bottom.

Gettysburg and Bermudian split their two matches this season and did not lose any other division matches.

As a result, the third tiebreaker was invoked — District 3 power ratings.

Bermudian (17-1-0) has a power rating of .717. Gettysburg (15-2-1) has a power rating of .654.

The league field hockey semifinals are set for Wednesday at Northeastern, while the final will be the following night at Bermudian Springs at 6:30 p.m.

The 5:30 p.m. semifinal on Wednesday will feature Division II champion Susquehannock (10-7-0) against Bermudian. That will be followed at approximately 7 p.m. by the other semifinal, which will pit Division I champion Dallastown (14-4-0) vs. Division IV champion Littlestown (11-5-1).

Dallastown is the defending league tournament champion and has won three of the last four league tournament titles.
