The Central York field hockey team scored twice in the first half and then exchanged goals with Susquehannock in the second half to earn the 3-1 home win on Thursday.
The Panthers got goals from three separate goal scorers, with Abby Lamison and Mikayla Sommer scoring in the first half, while Breann Craley added one in the second half. Kyra Heap added two assist for Central. The Warriors’ lone goal was scored by Lauren Wojcik.
The Panthers held a 10-3 shot advantage and 14-4 advantage in corners over the Division II championship team.
Eastern York 5, Fairfield 2: At Fairfield, Tia Judy had three goals to lead Eastern, while Addison Malone and Lauren Zimmerman also scored. Allison Crevier and Jacquie Devlin scored for Fairfield.
New Oxford 4, West York 0: At New Oxford, two assists from Shaela Pagnanelli propelled the hosts to victory. The Colonials received goals from Kasey Demi, Carly Flickinger, Kaelyn Long and Lauren Slonaker.
Kennard-Dale 2, Biglerville 1 (OT): At Biglerville, Calie Swegon scored the Rams’ game-winning goal more than 13 minutes into overtime. Morgan Bowings tied the game for K-D with a goal in the second half, helping it erase a 1-0 halftime deficit. Biglerville’s Bridget Rutkowski opened the game’s scoring. The Rams won the JV match, 2-0.
Gettysburg 2, Littlestown 0: At Littlestown, the Division III-leading Warriors received one goal apiece from Kailey Mixell and Elena Montenegro to beat D-IV-leading Littlestown. Littlestown won the JV match, 1-0.
Bermudian Springs 5, Delone Catholic 0: At McSherrystown, Ashley Kunkle scored the first three goals for Bermudian, with Brooke Zehr and Nicki Wolf also adding tallies. Bermudian also won the JV game, 1-0.
Hanover 5, York Suburban 0: At Hanover, Avery Martz led the Hawkettes by recording a hat trick.
