FIELD HOCKEY: Wildcats clinch another outright crown

  • Dallastown has won five straight outright York-Adams Division I field hockey titles.
  • The Wildcats clinched their latest crown with a 2-0 victory at South Western on Tuesday.
  • Katie Doherty scored both goals for Dallastown against the Mustangs.

Dallastown blanked South Western 2-0 on Tuesday in Hanover to clinch the outright York-Adams Division I field hockey crown.

Katie Doherty scored a pair of goals to lead Dallstown, which has a 12-0 division record. It marks the fifth straight season the Wildcats have earned the crown.


Jen Crumling and Sarah Baker assisted on Doherty’s goals. Goalie Sydney Terroso made three saves to record the shutout.

Dallastown won the JV match, 1-0.



New Oxford 5, Susquehannock 2: At Glen Rock, Kaelyn Long led the Colonials by scoring four out of the five goals and adding an assist on the fifth goal. For the Warriors, Julia McKenzie and Lauryn Wojcik each scored one goal, while Brooke Morris and Riley Roeder each picked up one assist. New Oxford improved to 10-2 in York-Adams Division I. The Division II champion Warriros fell to 9-3. Susquehannock won the JV match, 1-0.

Kennard-Dale 10, Fairfield 0: At Fawn Grove, Morgan Bowings and Jenna Soukaseaum each poured in four goals and added an assist for K-D. Calie Swegon added a goal and three assists for the winners.

Central York 6, Dover 0: At Dover, Breann Craley and Abby Lamison led the Panthers by each scoring two goals. Kiarra Rivera and  Lindsey Williams each scored one goal. The Panthers held the Eagles to zero shots on goal. Central won the JV match, 6-0.

Biglerville 1, York Suburban 0: At Suburban, Grace Hardy broke a 0-0 tie when she found the back of the net at the 10:35 mark of the second half to give the Canners the lead for good. Teammate Bridget Rutkowski added an assist. Suburban won the JV match, 2-0.

Eastern York 4, Delone Catholic 1: At Wrightsville, Tia Judy scored a pair of goals to help the Golden Knights defend their turf. Lauren Zimmerman added a pair of assists for Eastern York.

West York 1, Spring Grove 0: At West York, Chloe Smith broke a 0-0 tie when she found the back of the net at the 5:49 mark of the second half to secure the victory. The JV match ended in a 0-0 tie.

Bermudian Springs 3, Littlestown 0: At York Springs, Nicki Wolf, Kaitlyn McCollum and Lexia Lochbaum scored as the Eagles defeated their guests.

Gettysburg 2, Hanover 1 (OT): At Hanover, Elena Montenegro found the back of the net at the 3:05 mark in overtime to clinch the victory for the Warriors.
