CROSS COUNTRY: Kennard-Dale's Ferner breaks Littlestown course record

Ferner breaks course record: At Littlestown, Kennard-Dale's Maddie Ferner broke the course record with a time of 19 minutes, 48 seconds, breaking the old course mark of 20:34 set by Eastern York's Maddie McLain last season. Dallastown took first in the team standings by defeating Littlestown, K-D, Northeastern and Fairfield. The Rams took second, followed by the Bobcats, Thunderbolts and Green Knights.

West York's Weaver finishes first: At York Springs, West York's Bethany Weaver won the race in 20:08. Delone won the team event with wins over West York and Bermudian Springs. West York beat Bermudian to take second.

Gettle powers Trojans: At Biglerville, Olivia Gettle led York Suburban to team victories over Spring Grove, Gettysburg, Biglerville and New Oxford by taking first in 21:56. New Oxford came in second, followed by Gettysburg, Spring Grove and Biglerville.

McLain first for Golden Knights: At Glen Rock, Eastern York's Maddie McLain led the Golden Knights to victories over Dover, Susquehannock, York Catholic and Red Lion by taking first in 19:27. The Lions came in second, followed by Susquehannock, Dover and York Catholic.

Hartman leads Panthers: At Rudy Park, Paige Hartman led Central York to victories over South Western and York Tech by capturing first in 21:16. The Mustangs captured second by defeating Tech.

Gettysburg took second by tying New Oxford and defeating Biglerville, and Spring Grove. Daniel Filler led the Warriors by taking first in 17:37. Spring Grove came in third.

Lions capture top spot: At Glen Rock, Red Lion defeated Susquehannock, Dover, York Catholic and Eastern York to take first. The Warriors came in second. Joe McDonnell led the Warriors with a first-place finish in 17:44. The Golden Knights came in third, followed by Dover and York Catholic.

Jacobson paces Wildcats to victories: At Littlestown, Dallastown's Patrick Jacobson led the Wildcats to team victories over Littlestown, Kennard-Dale, Northeastern and Fairfield by taking first in 17:39. The Bobcats took second, followed by the Rams, Thunderbolts and Green Knights.

Bulldogs triumph: At York Springs, West York collected victories over Delone Catholic and Bermudian Springs. Delone beat Bermudian for second. Bermudian's Chad Long won the race in 17:11.
