Northeastern boys' volleyball team seeded No. 1 for District 3 Class 2-A playoffs
- Northeastern is the No. 1 seed in the District 3 Class 2-A boys' volleyball playoffs.
- York Suburban, Susquehannock and Dover have also qualified in the district 2-A bracket.
- Central York is seeded fourth in the District 3 3-A playoffs.

The Northeastern Bobcats have been seeded No. 1 for the upcoming District 3 Class 2-A boys' volleyball playoffs.
Northeastern is the five-time defending PIAA 2-A state champion and is ranked No. 1 in the state in 2-A this season, according to the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association. Coach Matt Wilson's Bobcats are 16-0 after winning the York-Adams League playoff title with a 3-1 win vs. Central York Tuesday night.
Northeastern gets a first-round bye in districts and will play host to either ninth-seeded Susquehannock (5-7) or eighth-seeded Wyomissing (8-6) at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the quarterfinals. Susquehannock faces Wyomissing at 6 p.m. Thursday in a first-round match at Cocalico.
In another first-round match at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 10th-seeded Dover (7-7) travels to seventh-seeded Cocalico (10-7). The winner will then visit second-seeded Manheim Central (15-0) at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the quarterfinals.
Fifth-seeded York Suburban (10-5) meets fourth-seeded Lancaster Mennonite (10-4) at 6 p.m. Monday at Northeastern in the quarterfinals.
The only Y-A team in the District 3 3-A field is fourth-seeded Central York (12-2). The Panthers will play host to 13th-seeded Conestoga Valley (8-7) in a first-round match at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The winner will advance to the quarterfinals at 6 p.m. Monday at Cumberland Valley against either fifth-seeded Exeter (11-2) or 12th-seeded Chambersburg (9-7). Exeter and Chambersburg meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at Central York.
According to the PVCA 3-A rankings, Cumberland Valley is No. 1 in the state, Hempfield is No. 2 and Central York is No. 3. Cumberland Valley (14-0) is the No. 1 seed in the district 3-A field, while Hempfield is (12-0) is No. 2. Lower Dauphin (17-1) is the third seed.
Five teams in the 3-A field will advance to the PIAA playoffs, while three District 3 2-A teams will move on to states.
