Just two wins from a Class 3-A state girls' volleyball championship, West York will face a familiar foe at a familiar site on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
The District 3 runner-up Bulldogs will take on District 11 champion Allentown Central Catholic (ACC) at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Exeter Township High School in Berks County in a state semifinal.

Exeter was also the site a year ago when ACC swept past West York 25-20, 26-24, 25-15 in another state semifinal contest to end the Bulldogs' season. ACC went on to win the 2016 state championship.
ACC will come into Tuesday's contest ranked No. 1 in the state in 3-A by the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association. West York is ranked No. 5 in that same poll.
West York, however, has already pulled off one upset, at least according to the state poll. Pope John Paul II had been ranked No. 2 in the state in 3-A.
ACC has not been pushed thus far in either of its state playoff matches, winning both by 3-0 scores.
The winner of the West York-ACC contest will advance to the state championship match at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Richland High School in Johnstown. The other 3-A semifinal on Tuesday pits District 7 champion Knoch vs. District 7 runner-up Montour. Knoch is ranked No. 4, while Montour is No. 7.
Delone also still alive: West York will not be the only York-Adams League team in a state girls' volleyball semifinal on Tuesday.
District 3 champion Delone Catholic will be in a 2-A semifinal against District 6 runner-up West Shamokin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at State College High School.
The Squrettes earned their semifinal berth with a 25-21, 25-11, 26-24 victory over District 2 champion Holy Redeemer on Saturday at Exeter.

Delone will enter that match ranked No. 2 by the PVCA in 2-A, while West Shamokin is not ranked in the top 10. New Hope-Solebury had been No. 10, while Holy Redeemer had been No. 5.
The top-ranked 2-A team in the state, Corry, has been eliminated, losing to District 7 runner-up Freeport on Saturday, 3-1. Corry was the defending 2-A state champion.
