BOYS' VOLLEYBALL: Red Lion sweeps rival Dallastown


Red Lion swept to a 25-23, 25-23, 25-17 boys' volleyball victory over rival Dallastown on Thursday night.

Dillon Hildebrand (11 kills, three aces), Cole Brillhart (11 kills, four blocks), John Longnecker (22 assists) and Levi Davis (12 assists) paced the winners.


Dallastown was led by Aaron Ward (six kills, six digs, three blocks), Nathan Darr (seven kills, six digs, three blocks), Jake Bixler (nine kills, four blocks), Payton Ranck (28 assists, five digs) and Dylan Frey (12 digs).

Red Lion improved to 8-3 overall and 6-2 in the York-Adams League. Dallastown fell to 6-4 and 5-3.

Red Lion won the JV match, 25-9, 25-21.



York Suburbam 3, Spring Grove 0: At Spring Grove, Jack Shultz posted 12 kills, Nick Bowman had 16 digs and Kaleb Ansell dished out 32 assists as the Trojans scored a 25-19, 25-8, 26-24 sweep. Noah Wilson had six kills and five digs for the Rockets. Suburban improved to 8-2 overall and 6-2 in the York-Adams League.

New Oxford 3, Dover 0: At New Oxford, Alex Neiderer slammed 18 kills and recorded 10 digs, while teammate Kameron Weinburg dished out 33 assists in the Colonials' 25-18, 25-16, 25-21 win. Zach Noll led the Eagles with 18 assists, and teammate Hunter Shank recorded seven kills.

Susquehannock 3, West York 0: At Glen Rock, Quinlan Kauffman led the Warriors to the 25-8, 25-8, 25-12 victory. Kauffman posted 10 kills to go along with 11 digs. Jacob May had nine assists, five digs and three kills for West York.

Kennard-Dale 3, Eastern York 0: At Fawn Grove, Kyle Wooldridge had a game-high 20 kills and nine blocks as the Rams scored a 25-11, 25-11, 25-20 sweep. Greg Houck ran Eastern’s offense with 13 assists.
