BOYS' VOLLEYBALL: Dallastown sweeps Spring Grove


Dallastown only had trouble in the second game during its 25-15, 26-24, 25-16 boys' volleyball sweep of the Spring Grove Rockets on Thursday night.


Four Dallastown players came up with double-digit digs, including 20 from Dylan Fry, 13 by Aaron Ward, 11 by Nathan Darr and 10 by Peyton Ranck.

Dallastown improved to 5-3 overall and 4-2 in the York-Adams League.

Spring Grove was led by Dakota Parker (10 kills, five digs), Mason Staub (15 assists, six digs), Aaron Mummert (12 digs), Noah Wilson (11 digs) and Luke Hoffnagle (10 digs, six kills).


York Suburban 3, New Oxford 0: At New Oxford, the Trojans rolled 25-21, 25-22, 25-12. Suburban was led by Zach Weinstein’s 10 kills and 13 digs, while Nick Bowman also came up with 18 digs. Kameron Weinberg passed for 23 assists for New Oxford, while Alex Neiderer and John Wessel each had eight kills. Suburban is 6-2 overall and 4-2 in the league.

Central York 3, West York 0: At Springettsbury, the Panthers dominated the Bulldogs, 25-6, 25-9, 25-8. Zak Kakos had three aces serving for Central, while Carter Luckenbaugh passed for 30 assists. West York’s Edwin Quintanilla had 13 digs. Central is 6-1 overall and 5-1 in the league.

Northeastern 3, Dover 0: At Manchester, the Bobcats continue to prove why they’re the top-ranked AA team in the state, dispatching the Eagles 25-14, 25-14, 25-14. Brandon Arentz had eight kills and three aces, while Jeff Reynolds had nine kills and three blocks and Dakoda Hoffman added 11 kills for Northeastern. Dover’s Zach Noll had 12 assists and two blocks. The Bobcats are 8-0 overall and 6-0 in the league.

Susquehannock 3, Eastern York 0: At Glen Rock, the Warriors won, 25-19, 25-13, 25-16. Quinlan Kauffman led the Warriors with 10 kills, five aces and seven digs. Also for the Warriors, Steve Rouse had 16 assists, four kills and three aces, Nate Trego had four kills and seven digs and Kaleb Lippy had four kills. Susquehannock won the JV match, 21-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Red Lion 3, Kennard-Dale 0: At Fawn Grove, the visitors rolled, 25-13, 25-13. 25-18. The Lions improved to 7-1 overall and 5-1 in the league. No other details were reported.
