Northeastern boys' volleyball team finishes second at State College Invitational

The Northeastern boys' volleyball team finished second over the weekend at the State College Invitational.

The Bobcats lost to Hempfield in the finals, 25-19, 25-19.

The Black Knights are ranked No. 1 in the latest District 3 Class AAA ratings, while Central York is No. 2. Northeastern is rated No. 1 in AA.

Northeastern won its morning and afternoon pools to advance to the semifinals, where the Bobcats beat Central Dauphin, 30-22.

Central also competed in State College, finishing in a fifth-place tie with Central Dauphin. The Panthers lost to Hempfield 26-24 in the quarterfinals. Hempfield then downed Pennridge in the semifinals, 30-20, before beating the Bobcats in the title match. On the day, Central finished at 4-3.
