YORK-ADAMS BOYS' VOLLEYBALL: Susquehannock storms back to beat West York
The Susquehannock boys' volleyball team remained alone in third place in the York-Adams League on Thursday night with a come-from-behind 20-25, 25-14, 25-13, 25-20 victory at West York.
The Warriors improved to 6-3 overall and 6-2 in the league, trailing only unbeaten state powers Northeastern and Central York.
A.J. Schaeffer had a monster night on offense and defense for Susquehannock, coming away with team highs in kills (21) and digs (27). Quinlan Kauffman contributed to the offensive effort with 13 kills, while Stephen Rouse passed the ball well, finishing with 35 assists. For West York, Brett Strickler paved the way with 18 kills and 21 digs, while Kenton Meckley chipped in with a 14 and 12 effort in the same categories.

Kennard-Dale 3, Eastern York 0: At Wrightsville, The Rams knocked off the Golden Knights, 25-19, 16-25, 15-25. Kyle Wooldridge paced the K-D offense, finishing with 20 kills, while Luke Criswell had 11 kills and nine assists. Greg Houck was the big performer for Eastern with 10 assists and seven digs.
Dallastown 3, Red Lion 0: At Dallastown, the Wildcats won three, hard-fought games, 25-22, 25-21, 25-20. Dallastown got strong contributions from a number of players. Aaron Ward had 12 kills and 12 digs, Peyton Ranck had 27 assists and 10 digs and Owen Terroso had 21 digs. Meanwhile, Red Lion got a 22-assist, 10-dig effort from John Longnecker, while Cole Brillhart led the team with 12 kills.
York Suburban 3, Spring Grove 1: At Suburban, the Trojans came back from a game down, rallying to win the final three to knock off the Rockets, 21-25, 25-11, 25-22, 25-20. Suburban's Sepehr Vakili led the team with 13 kills, while Gavin Dean came up with 30 digs. Spring Grove got 42 assists from Austin Muff and 22 kills from Dalton Forbes.
New Oxford 3, Dover 1: At Dover, Ryan McMaster led the Colonials to the 22-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-22 victory with 22 kills and 15 digs. Teammate Trey Noble had 43 assists and six digs. For the Eagles, Koleman Hoffman had 32 kills, eight digs and three blocks, while J.T. Crossan had 20 digs, five assists and three aces, and Zach Noll had 35 assists and seven digs. New Oxford won the JV match, 25-14, 25-15.
