Kennard-Dale defeated New Oxford, 3-2, in York-Adams League Division I volleyball action on Thursday night.
After the visiting Colonials took the opening set, 25-23, the host Rams took the next two sets, 25-22, 25-15, before New Oxford took the fourth set, 25-18, to force a fifth and deciding game. K-D took the fifth set, 15-13.
The Colonials were led by Ryan McMaster, who had 24 kills, while Trey Noble passed the ball well, recording 38 assists.
The Rams' Joe McConville had 50 assists and 11 digs. Kyle Wooldridge finished the match with 29 kills and Luke Criswell added 21.
OTHER BOYS' VOLLEYBALL
Central York 3, Red Lion 0: At Red Lion, Jeremiah Dadeboe slammed a team-high 10 kills and added two blocks and two digs in leading the Panthers to the 25-13, 25-17, 25-17 victory. Trevor Holderegger and Carter Luckenbaugh each handed out 14 assists. Red Lion received 10-kill efforts from Dillon Hildebrand and Cole Brillhart.
Dallastown 3, Dover 0: At Dallastown, the Wildcats won, 25-11, 25-18, 25-17. Aaron Ward led the home team with nine kills and seven digs. Also for Dallastown, Chadd Jones had nine kills and six blocks, Peyton Ranck had 29 assists and Zach Zerr had eight kills and three blocks. For the Eagles, Koleman Hoffmann had 14 kills and five digs, while Zach Noll had 11 assists and five digs and Taylor McKeever had four digs. Dallastown won the JV match, 25-16, 25-17.
Northeastern 3, York Suburban 0: At Manchester, the Bobcats won, 25-18, 25-19, 25-19. Philip White and Reese Devilbiss led the Bobcats with 19 kills apiece. Also for Northeastern, Matt Schaeffer had 37 assists and Brandon Arentz had four kills and three digs. For the Trojans, Caleb Ansell had 17 assists and seven digs, while Matt Hogg had 10 kills and Gavin Dean had 12 digs. Suburban won the JV match, 23-25, 25-19, 16-14.
West York 3, Eastern 2: At Wrightsville, the Bulldogs trailed 2-1 (25-21, 22-25, 20-25) but rallied to win the final two games (25-9, 18-16). Brett Strickler led the Bulldogs with 15 kills and 26 digs. Also for West York, Kenton Meckley had 17 digs and 10 kills, Jacob May had 18 assists, nine digs and three aces and Matt DellOrfano had 13 digs, five kills and five blocks. For the Golden Knights, Jared Woods had seven kills and three digs, while Elijah Lowe had six kills and three blocks and Dalton Liek had 18 assists. Eastern won the JV match, 19-25, 25-8, 15-5.
Susquehannock 3, Spring Grove 1: At Spring Grove, the Warriors won, 14-25, 25-13, 25-17, 25-23. A.J. Schaeffer led the visitors with 24 kills, 17 digs and four aces. Also for the Warriors, Brian Sheddy had 11 kills, 12 digs and three aces, Quinlan Kaufmann had nine kills, 12 digs and three aces and Stephen Rouse had 44 assists and five digs. For the Rockets, Dalton Forbes had 24 kills and five digs, while Austin Muff had 28 assists and six digs, while Garrett Leib had 11 digs. Susquehannock won the JV match, 25-21, 23-25, 15-12.
