YORK-ADAMS BOYS' VOLLEYBALL: York Suburban wins White Out match over Red Lion

York Suburban earned a 25-20, 25-23, 14-25, 25-15 victory over visiting Red Lion on Tuesday night in boys' volleyball action.

The big winners, however, were the Cancer Patient Help Fund and the Red Lion Mini-Thon.

The seventh annual White Out fund raiser, held in conjunction with the York-Adams League match, raised $8,392.04.

Kaleb Ansell (32 assists, 14 digs), Sepehr Vakili (12 kills, six digs), Gavin Dean (19 digs) and Josh Teague (15 digs) led Suburban.

Red Lion was paced by John Longnecker (40 assists), Dillon Hildebrand (16 kills, nine digs), Bennett Frey (10 kills, 17 digs) and Cole Brillhart (17 kills, 17 digs).

Suburban won the JV match, 25-19, 25-23.


Central York 3, Susquehannock 0: At Central, the Panthers won, 25-21, 25-15, 25-8. Jason Gardner led the Panthers with nine kills and three blocks. Also for Central, Landon Shorts had six kills, 14 assists, seven digs and three aces, Carter Luckenbaugh had 20 assists and five digs and Braden Neal had seven kills and four digs. For the Warriors, Brian Sheddy had six kills, nine digs and three aces, while Stephen Rouse had 15 assists and A.J. Schaeffer had five kills and six digs. Central won the JV match, 25-10, 19-25, 15-4.

Dallastown 3, Eastern 0: At Wrightsville, Peyton Ranck led the Wildcats to the 25-10, 25-17, 25-11 victory by collecting 30 assists, four digs, three aces and two kills. Also for Dallastown, Avery Terosso had six digs, four kills and three aces, Danny Gunter had 15 digs and two aces and Nathan Darr had four kills, four digs and two aces. For the Golden Knights, Greg Houck had two digs, while Elijah Lowe had one kill and one block. Dallastown won the JV match, 25-7, 25-22.

Kennard-Dale 3, West York 0: At West York, the Rams won, 25-17, 25-15, 25-12. Kyle Wooldridge led the Rams with 18 kills and three aces. Also for K-D, Josiah McConville had 27 assists, five blocks and four kills, Alex Coomes had five kills and Luke Criswell had five kills and three blocks. For the Bulldogs, Brett Strickler had four kills, six digs and six assists, Kenton Meckley had four kills and 10 digs and Drew Geller had seven digs and six assists. K-D won the JV match, 25-20, 25-16.

Northeastern 3, New Oxford 0: At Manchester, the Bobcats won, 25-16, 25-10, 25-10. Reese Devilbiss led the Bobcats with nine kills and three aces. Also for Northeastern, Matt Schaeffer had 19 assists, Philip White had seven kills and Brandon Arentz had five kills. For the Colonials, Ryan McMaster had 10 kills. Northeastern won the JV match, 25-16, 17-25, 15-6.

Spring Grove 3, Dover 1: At Dover, after dropping the first game, 23-25, the Rockets rallied to win the next three, 25-12, 25-19, 25-20. Dalton Forbes led Spring Grove with 22 kills, while Austin Muff had 33 assists. Dover's Koleman Hoffman led the team with 27 kills, while J.T. Crossan had 21 digs.
