Dallastown boys' tennis team captures Keystone Cup championship


The Dallastown boys' tennis team won the Keystone Cup championship on Friday, beating Hempfield, 4-1, and Lower Dauphin, 5-0.

Dallastown's No. 1 player, Holden Koons, won both of his singles matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores.

Dallastown's Jonathan Burns swept his No. 2 singles matches in straight sets, while Sebastian May took both of his No. 3 matches, including rallying from a 1-0 hole to win a three-setter vs. Hempfield's Rishi Pandey, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Noah May and Cameron Koons swept both of their No. 2 doubles matches in straight sets for the Wildcats.

Dallastown's Jack Lynam and Vincent Villani split their No. 1 doubles matches, losing a three-setter vs. Hempfield.

Dallastown improved to 6-0 on the season and will play host to rival Red Lion on Monday afternoon. Both team enter that match at 3-0 in York-Adams Division I action.
