Dallastown High School boys' team falls in state tennis
The Dallastown High School boys' tennis team season came to an end on Tuesday with a first-round 3-0 loss vs. District 1 champion Lower Merion in PIAA Class AAA state action at the Legacy YTE Complex in Philadelphia.
The Wildcats' freshman phenom, Holden Koons, was winning his No. 1 singles match 6-4, 1-1 when the match was stopped after Lower Merion sewed up the necessary three points to clinch the team victory. Koons, the District 3-AAA champion, will compete in PIAA singles action on May 27-28.
The Wildcats finished at 16-4 after taking third place in District 3 and winning the York-Adams Division I championship.
