South Western advanced to the District 3-AAA Boys' Tennis Team Tournament quarterfinals on Thursday with a 4-1 victory over Palmyra at the Hershey Racquet Club.
The No. 5 seed Mustangs received singles victories from Ben Sentz and Gavin Kenny. In doubles, Ryan Hohman and Jacob Biondo captured the No. 1 match, while teammates Ethan Garrett and Vince Guy won the No. 2 match. Palmyra was seeded No. 12.
South Western (13-2) now moves on to face No. 4 seed Lower Dauphin (13-3) on Tuesday at 12:45 p.m. at HRC.
In another first round, match-up, No. 9 seed New Oxford was (14-4) was defeated by No. 8 seed Manheim Township. The Colonials were eliminated from the tournament.
