Dallastown's Logan Brockway finishes seventh in Class 3-A 200 IM at PIAA swim meet

Dallastown senior Logan Brockway had the best finish of any York-Adams League athlete on Wednesday during the first day of the PIAA Swimming and Diving Championships at Kinney Natatorium on the campus of Bucknell University.
Brockway finished seventh in the Class 3-A 200 individual medley in a time of 1 minute, 52.93 seconds. The Wildcat came into the event seeded No. 9.
North Allegheny's Rick Mihm won the event in 1:46.09.
Northeastern sophomore Hunter Bachman won the B Final in the 3-A 50 freestyle in 21.09 seconds, giving him a ninth-place overall finish. Bachman entered the event as the No. 15 seed. North Allegheny's Mason Gonzalez won the 50 free in 19.99.
South Western senior Ben Shoul tied for 17th in preliminary action of the 3-A 100 butterfly and failed to make the A or B finals. His time was 51.11 seconds. He entered the event seeded No. 9. Conestoga's Brendan Burns would eventually win the A final in 47.04 seconds.
The final Y-A competitor on the first day of PIAA action was Central York's Cameron Speed, who finished 24th in the preliminary action of the 200 free in 1:44.96. North Allegheny's Jack Wright would eventually win the event in 1:34.77.
There were no Y-A girls in action on Wednesday.
The PIAA meet continues Thursday with more 3-A action.
