The Northern York High School boys' soccer team is just one win away from a state championship.

The Polar Bears advanced to the PIAA Class 3-A title match with a 4-1 come-from-behind semifinal victory over Upper Moreland on Tuesday night at North Side Elementary School in Mechanicsburg.

District 3 champion Northern improved to 19-0-1, while District 1 champion Upper Moreland finished at 10-3.

Upper Moreland scored the game's first goal on Tuesday before the Polar Bears finished with four unanswered scores to earn the win.

Spencer Siverling tied it on a header off an assist from Ashton Davies.

Connor Swope broke a 1-1 halftime tie with his second-half goal that gave Northern the lead for good.

Shepard Soisson made it 3-1 Northern off another Davies assist.

Zach French finished off the scoring with an empty-net score.

Northern will try to win the first state title in program history at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Hersheypark Stadium.

The Polar Bears will face District 7 champion Mars, which captured a 2-1 victory over District 10 champion (Erie) Cathedral Prep on Tuesday in the other state 3-A semifinal. That game was played on a snow-covered field at Mars High School.

Mars will enter that match at 20-0 on the season.
