BOYS' SOCCER: Central York nips Dallastown in OT to sew up York-Adams Division I championship

Pierrce Miller's goal with 3 minutes, 25 seconds to play in the first overtime gave Central York a crucial 3-2 boys' soccer victory over Dallastown on Tuesday night.

With the victory, the Panthers improved to 11-0-0 in York-Adams Division I play, clinching the outright division title. The loss sends the Wildcats to 8-3-0 in division competition.

The two teams each scored goals in both halves to get the game into overtime.

Kyle Hennigan opened the scoring for Dallastown in the 15th minute with a goal from the penalty spot. Igor Gomes equalized for Central in the 25th minute to send the game to halftime tied, 1-1.

Gomes then came out and scored his second of the match in the 50th minute to give the Panthers a 2-1 lead. Cade Curran brought the game back level on a feed from Hennigan, with just more than 10 minutes to play in regulation.

OTHER BOYS' SOCCER

York Catholic 5, Fairfield 1: At York Catholic, Jeff Waser scored a goal and assisted on two others as the hosts cruised. Waser, Tate Kibler, Seth Falvey, Mike Andrews and Alan Figueria also each recorded goals for the Irish.

West York 6, Kennard-Dale 0: At Fawn Grove, Eddy Rodriguez scored a pair of goals to lift the visitors to victory. Darian McCauley had an easy time in goal for the Bulldogs, recording a save and earning the shutout.

Red Lion 6, South Western 2: At Hanover, the Lions scored five times in the first half to pace themselves to the win over the Mustangs. Ben Warner had three goals for Red Lion, while Ian Patmore added two. An own goal by South Western accounted for all of the Lions' scoring.

Gettysburg 4, Eastern York 0: At Wrightsville, the Warriors scored two goals in each half to take down the Golden Knights. Adam Yingling scored twice in the second half, while Drew Riggle had a goal and an assist for Gettysburg. Bobby Weikert also scored in the game. Isaac Barrow made 10 saves for Eastern in goal.

New Oxford 7, Northeastern 1: At Manchester, Marcos Garcia led the Colonials to the victory by scoring four goals. For the Bobcats, Jordan Emenheiser scored the lone goal, while teammate Cameron Artman added an assist on the score.

Boiling Springs 5, York Suburban 1: At Boiling Springs, the Trojans gave up three first-half goals, setting the tone in their loss. Carter Kowaleski scored the only goal for Suburban and Seth Orndorff made six saves in goal.
