BOYS' SOCCER: Central York routs South Western in battle of York-Adams Division I leaders
Central York 4, South Western 1: At Hanover, the Panthers rolled in a battle of York-Adams Division I unbeatens. Both teams entered at 3-0 in the division. Igor Gomes had a goal and an assist to lead the Panthers. Michael Tolley, Jared Hileman and Carter Mummert also scored for the winners. Central has another big match on Tuesday when it plays host to Dallastown at 7 p.m. The Wildcats are 3-1 in the division.
West York 3, Red Land 2: At West York, John Prego, Cory Ben Olivier and Nick Renda scored goals to power the Bulldogs. Eddy Rodriguez added two assists, while Jordan Strickler had one. Darian McCauley had eight saves to get the win in goal.
New Oxford 3, Dover 2: At Dover, Manny Banda's goal at the 65-minute mark broke a 2-2 tie and gave the Colonials the win. Roman Colin and Luis Partida also scored for the winners. Robert Maze and David Trimmer had Dover's scores. Josh Hogan assisted on both Dover goals. Nathaniel Hamme had eight saves for Dover.
Susquehannock 5, York Suburban 1: At Glen Rock, The Warriors found the back of the net three times in the first half to cruise to the convincing win over the Trojans. Kaleb Lippy had two goals and an assist in the game, while Cheikh Cisse added a goal and an assist. Carter Kowalewski scored the only goal for Suburban, coming on a penalty kick late in the match.
Shippensburg 2, Northeastern 1: At Manchester, the Bobcats led 1-0 at the half but were unable to hold on and dropped the non-league contest. Hayden Seifert scored the lone goal for the Bobcats, while teammate Damon Faulkner made seven stops in goal.
