BOYS' SOCCER: Dover, Central York each pick up 1-0 triumphs


Dover and Central York each earned 1-0 boys' soccer victories on Wednesday.

Dover downed Eastern York, while Central edged Red Lion.

At Dover, Travis Hill broke a 0-0 tie when he found the back of the net at the 17-minute mark of the second half in the York-Adams Division II victory. Robert Maze picked up an assist, while Nathaniel Hamme made four stops in goal to record the shutout. For the Golden Knights, Isaac Barrow made seven stops in goal.

At Central, Jared Hileman's penalty kick at the 15:53 mark of the first half ended up being the lone goal of the match and clinched the York-Adams Division I victory for the Panthers. The Central defense held the Lions to zero shots on goal for the match. For Red Lion, Brock Gould made nine stops in goal. Central improved to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the division.


South Western 4, Northeastern 0: A pair of Geoffrey Little goals helped send the Mustangs to victory. Anthony DeVincent and Jacob Wells also found the back of the net for South Western. Matthew Maher recorded three saves while picking up the shutout in goal. His Northeastern counterpart, Damon Faulkner, posted 12 saves.
