BOYS' SOCCER: York Catholic wins high-scoring affair vs. Hanover

York Catholic 8, Hanover 6: At Hanover, the Irish scored five times in the second half to pull out the road win over the Nighthawks. Mike Andrews, Jeffery Waser and Michael Elliot each scored twice for York Catholic, while Waser and Andrews also tallied an assist. For Hanover, Johan Solomanca had a two-goal game, while Roger Arrizu, Roman Nakielny, Chris Kauffman and Diego Aguilar each scored once.

South Western 4, Spring Grove 3: At Spring Grove, Anthony Devincent and Casey Slater each scored two goals to lead the Mustangs. Slater also had an assist. Aaron Gunarich scored twice for Spring Grove, while Gavin Black scored once. South Western's Matt Maher and Spring Grove's Trevor Kern each had six saves.

Red Lion 2, New Oxford 2: At New Oxford, a pair of Noah Pillsbury goals helped the Lions play to a draw with the Colonials. Roman Colin and John Wilson each scored for New Oxford. The Colonials' Luis Partida assisted on each goal.

Susquehannock 6, Eastern York 0: At Susquehannock, Luke Thomas' four-goal effort made for an easy Warrior win. Teammate Kaleb Lippy added a goal and two assists to the victorious cause. Cheikh Cisse scored the final Warrior goal. Aaron Bilbie and Matt Wentz each recorded a save in goal while combining for the shutout.

Gettysburg 1, West York 0 (OT): Matt Yingling's goal in the first overtime propelled the Warriors past the Bulldogs. Matt Balas had one save and teammate Yanni Tassou made three to preserve the win. Darian McCauley made five saves in the tough-luck loss for West York.

Central York 10, Northeastern 0: The Panthers exploded for seven first-half goals. Leading the way was Mitchell Crane, who posted two goals and an assist. Igor Gomes also recorded a pair of goals. Michael Tolley, Zack Kakos and Carter Luckenbaugh each added a goal and an assist in the winning effort. Northeastern goalie Damon Faulkner was credited with 32 saves.

York Suburban 5, Kennard-Dale 0: At Suburban, Nick Bowman scored three goals and Carter Kowalewski recorded three assists to lead the Trojans to victory. Jimmy Moore and Gavin Dean rounded out the scoring for Suburban. Seth Orndorff posted four saves in the shutout.
