Five York County boys' basketball players have earned all-state recognition, including a pair of first-team performers.

The Pennsylvania's Sports Writers All-State Boys' Basketball Teams were released Tuesday.

Earning first-team honors were Northeastern senior standout Antonio Rizzuto in Class 5-A and York Country Day junior Jalen Gorham in Class 1-A.

Earning third-team honors were York High senior Kyree Generett and Northeastern senior Fred Mulbah in 5-A and Kennard-Dale senior Adam Freese in 4-A.

Rizzuto and Mulbah provided the Bobcats with a backcourt duo that was among the best in the state. The 6-foot, 3-inch Rizzuto, who is headed to play NCAA Division I ball at the University at Albany, averaged 23.4 points per game. He was the leading scorer in the York-Adams League. The 5-9 Mulbah, who will play at the NCAA Division II level for Pitt-Johnstown, pumped in 14.3 points per game.

Both Bobcats were known for their crowd-pleasing dunking abilities. They also helped Northeastern win back-to-back York-Adams League titles and a District 3 Class 5-A crown in 2017. Northeastern went 58-7 over the past two seasons. Rizzuto was a second-team all-state selection a season ago, while Mulbah made the third team for a second straight season.

The 6-7 Gorham averaged 20.0 points per game for the Greyhounds, who won their third straight District 3 Class 1-A championship by storming back from a 19-point second-half deficit to beat Lancaster Country Day, 61-54. Gorham had 26 points in that game. YCD finished the season at 15-6. Gorham was a third-team all-state pick in 2017.

The 6-1 Generett averaged 21 points per game and helped resurrect a York High program that had struggled a bit in recent years. The Bearcats finished 17-11 overall, including a District 3 5-A runner-up finish. York upset Northeastern in overtime in the district semifinals, 84-80, with Generett pumping in 36 points. Generett was the second-leading scorer in the York-Adams League and is committed to play NCAA Division II ball at Shippensburg University.

The 6-5 Freese averaged 18.5 points per game for a Kennard-Dale team that enjoyed its best season in more than two decades. The Rams finished 19-9 and earned a state playoff berth, where they lost in the first round to eventual state champion Imhotep Charter. Freese has committed to play at the NCAA Division II level for Stonehill in Easton, Massachusetts.
