Northeastern event to celebrate boys' basketball season

The most successful season in Northeastern boys' basketball history came to an end on Monday night with a loss in the PIAA Class 5-A semifinals.

The Northeastern community will celebrate the 30-3 campaign with a Shoot Around and Meet the Team Night on Sunday from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the high school gym.

The Northeastern Bobcats celebrate after defeating Mechanicsburg in the District 3 Class 5-A basketball championship game on Friday, March 3. The Bobcats will be honored on Sunday at the Northeastern gym.

The Bobcats won York-Adams Division I, York-Adams League Tournament and District 3 Class 5-A championships before falling one win short of advancing to a PIAA state championship contest.

During the celebration, players will be available for pictures and to sign autographs. There will also be a shoot around and likely a few dunks.

Orders will also be taken for championship apparel. Those who can't make the event can purchase championship T-shirts by emailing
