A pair of York County basketball players are among the finalists in voting for the fourth annual Mr. and Miss Pennsylvania Basketball Awards.

Spring Grove senior Eli Brooks and York Catholic junior Kate Bauhof have each made it to the final stage of voting for the statewide award. Both are among six finalists.

Brooks is joined by Carlisle senior Deshawn Millington, Reading senior Lonnie Walker IV, Neumann-Goretti senior Quade Green, Strong Vincent senior David Morris and Imhotep Charter senior Daron Russell.

Bauhof, meanwhile, is in the running against Camp Hill junior Diamond Bragg, Cumberland Valley senior Katie Jekot, Boyertown senior Abby Kapp, North Catholic senior Samantha Breen and Greencastle-Antrim's Jenay Faulkner.

Brooks capped off a remarkable career for the Rockets, guiding the program to its best-ever season this year, making it to the quarterfinal round of the PIAA Class 5-A state playoffs for the first time in program history. She's scored more than 1,300 points in her career and has been a member of two District 3 championship teams, including this year's squad that won the Class 3-A title, the 11th district crown in the last 12 seasons for York Catholic.
