BASKETBALL: Christian School of York girls cruise to 10th-straight triumph
- The Christian School of York girls' basketball team rolled to its 10th-straight win on Thursday.

A successful season for the Christian School of York girls’ basketball team continued Thursday with the Crusaders’ 39-16 home victory over Mount Calvary.
The win is the 10th in a row for CSY and moves its record to 13-2 overall on the season. CSY also entered Thursday’s game at No. 2 in the latest District 3 Class 1-A power ratings.
The Crusaders put Thursday’s contest to rest early, racing out to a 17-4 lead after the first quarter. They then removed any doubts about the outcome by shutting out their opposition in the second quarter on their way to a 27-4 halftime lead.
Leading the way for CSY was Kendis Butler, who scored a game-high 18 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Mekenzie Smith was also in double digits for the Crusaders with 10 points.
Butler had 14 straight points in the first quarter, including a 3-point buzzer beater.
Red Lion Christian 41, Blue Mountain Christian 23: At Blue Mountain Christian, Destiny Hollingshead poured in a team-high 16 points to lead her team to victory. Hailee Thompson added eight more for Red Lion Christian.
Eastern York 57, York Tech 51: At Spry, Trevor Seitz scored a game-high 22 points to the lead the Golden Knights to the non-league road victory. Teammate Demonte Martin added 10 points. The Spartans were led by a 19-point performance from Terance Romey. Eastern improved to 10-9. Tech fell to 10-6.
Kennard-Dale 48, Gettysburg 32: At Fawn Grove, the Rams won the York-Adams Division II battle behind 16 points from Adam Freese and 13 from Joey Thomas. The Rams improved to 11-5 overall and 5-3 in D-II. Gettysburg fell to 8-9 and 3-6. K-D outscored Gettysburg 10-0 in the first quarter.
Blue Mountain Christian 54, Red Lion Christian 53: At Blue Mountain Christian, the Swordsmen trailed 29-17 at the half and came up just short rallying for the victory. Brad Sweitzer led the Swordsmen with 16 points. Also for RLC, Myles Willard knocked in 11 points, while Robert Englestad scored 10 points.
Mount Calvary 58, Christian School of York 45: At York, Alex Pantelic (12 points) and Nathan Taylor (10) each reached double digits in a losing effort.
