Christian School of York earns CCAC baseball title

The Christian School of York is the Commonwealth Christian Athletic Conference baseball champion.

The Crusaders (now 11-2) beat Lancaster County Christian on Thursday in Fredericksburg, Lebanon County, 6-1.

It is CSY's first-ever conference baseball championship.

Ben Bills pitched a complete game to get the victory, striking out seven with  one walk.

Bills, Anthony Torreullas and Matt Taylor each had two hits for the winners.

Matt Hura also had a great diving catch in right field.

The loss avenged an earlier forfeit loss to LCC. CSY had beaten LCC on the field during the regular season, 5-0, but later had to forfeit that victory for using an ineligible pitcher.

CSY now heads into District 3-A action as the No. 3 seed. LCC (11-5), the defending PIAA Class A state champ, is the No. 1 seed.
