On day before title game, Eastern York drops non-league baseball contest vs. Susquenita

Eastern York will play for the York-Adams League baseball championship against West York at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Spring Grove.

On Monday, however, the Golden Knights took on visiting Susquenita in a non-league battle in Wrightsville.

Eastern dropped a 7-3 decision to the Blackhawks — a result that could harm the Golden Knights' District 3-AAA playoff hopes.

Eastern entered the game at No. 15 in the power ratings, with the top 16 teams making the AAA field.

Susquenita, meanwhile, is No. 6 in AA, where the top 10 teams make the field.

All games through Wednesday will be included in the final district power ratings.

Eastern dropped to 13-6 overall, while Susquenita improved to 13-4.

Matt Taylor had three hits for Eastern, including a double, while Robert Hedrick added two.
