Eastern York's Brandon Knarr pitched a six-inning no-hitter on Tuesday afternoon to lead the Golden Knights to a 3-0 victory over Bermudian Springs in Wrightsville.

Knarr struck out 17, just one less than the maximum, and walked three. He threw 98 pitches — 61 for strikes. Eastern played errorless ball behind him.

Matt Taylor led Eastern's offense, going 2-for-3, including a homer, with two RBIs and a run scored. Colby Shimmel added two hits and a run scored for the winners.

The Knights improved to 3-1 overall and 3-0 in York-Adams Division III.


Kennard-Dale 12, Dover 8: At Dover, the Rams broke an 8-8 tie in the top of the sixth, plating four runs. Trevor Jacobs led the Rams by going 3-for-4, including a double, with four RBIs. Teammates Jake Deppen and Kyle Amrhein each went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, while Ryan Vipperman and Josh Bakalyar each went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. For the Eagles, Zach Altland went 3-for-4, including a double, with two runs scored, while Levi Murphy went 3-for-3, including a three-run homer, with two runs scored, while Austin Jewitt went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.

York Catholic 9, York Tech 0: At York Catholic, Will Catterall and Matt Knauer combined on a four-hit shutout. Catterall went five innings and struck out six to get the win. Knauer fanned five in two innings. Brenden Kennedy (three hits, three runs, one RBI), Dillon Hippensteel (two hits, one run, one RBI), Brady Wilking (two hits, one RBI, one run), Knauer (two hits, double, two runs) and Catterall (two RBIs) led the Irish offense. Luke Greisler had two hits for Tech.

Spring Grove 3, Dallastown 0: At Dallastown, Anthony Reed pitched a complete-game one-hitter to get the win. He struck out eight and walked three. Dallastown's Avery Strayer also pitched a complete game, allowing four hits. He fanned four and walked three. Cam Starner had two hits for the Rockets. Dallastown's Tye Golden broke up Reed's no-hitter in the sixth.

South Western 10, Central York 1: At Central, the Mustangs used a nine-run fifth inning to break open a 1-1 game. Adam Reed and Miles Francis each had two hits and two RBIs for the Mustangs. Beau Burris and Joe Kroeger each had two hits for the Panthers.

New Oxford 1, Red Lion 0: At Red Lion, Keegan Romanoff led off the top of the first with a triple and later scored on an RBI groundout by Ethan Hertz to plate the lone run of the game. Teammate Alex Smith threw a shutout on the mound, striking out 13 and walking two. For the Lions, Briar Lauer threw a complete game, striking out four, walking five and allowing two hits.

Northeastern 16, Susquehannock 0: At Glen Rock, the visitors scored at least two runs in each inning en route to the five-inning victory. The Bobcats had 14 hits, including a triple from Nicholas Sprenkle. Cristian Morales and William Kopp combined on a five-hit shutout.
