DISTRICT 3 ROUNDUP: Susquehannock, Dallastown move to District 3 boys' soccer semifinals

- Dallastown earned a 2-0 boys' soccer win over Central Dauphin on Wednesday.
- The victory advanced the Wildcats to the District 3 Class 4-A semifinals.
- Susquehannock downed Daniel Boone 5-3 on Wednesday in another boys' soccer match.

Susquehannock and Dallastown are moving on in the one-and-done District 3 boys' soccer playoffs.
The No. 1 seed Warriors captured a 5-3 victory over No. 8 seed Daniel Boone in Glen Rock on Wednesday night in a high-scoring District 3 Class 3-A quarterfinal.
The Wildcats, meanwhile, captured a 2-0 triumph at Central Dauphin in a District 3 Class 4-A quarterfinal.
Both Susquehannock and Dallastown will now take part in district semifinal action on Saturday.
At 6 p.m. Saturday, the Warriors will play host to No. 5 seed Fleetwood (10-2), which won its quarterfinal over No. 4 seed Lampeter-Strasburg, 2-1. L-S finished at 9-3-1.
The York-Adams Division II champion Warriors improved to 13-0. Daniel Boone finished at 9-4-1. Fallou Cisse (two goals, two assists). Nick Holloway (two goals, assist) and Maison Kaifer (goal, assist) led the Susquehannock attack. The Warriors had an 11-5 edge in shots.
At Central Dauphin, the No. 7 seed Wildcats surprised the No. 2 seed Rams behind goals from Joe Hanuska and Mitchell Groh.
Dallastown improved to 11-3-1, while Central Dauphin finished at 13-2. The Wildcats, after an 0-2 start, have gone 11-1-1 in their last 13 games.
In Saturday's semifinals, Dallastown will travel to No. 3 seed Manheim Township (11-2) at 3 p.m. The Blue Streaks won their quarterfinal, 3-0, on Wednesday vs. No. 6 seed Conestoga Valley, which finished at 8-3.
Susquehannock and Dallastown were bright spots for the York-Adams League during a relatively unsuccessful night of District 3 action. The league's teams went 2-2 in boys' soccer and 0-3 in girls' soccer.
In field hockey, the Y-A teams went 0-4 vs. foes from outside the Y-A League, getting outscored 29-2. Bermudian Springs did beat Biglerville in a 1-A field hockey match-up featuring two Y-A schools.
OTHER BOYS' SOCCER
Lower Dauphin 3, York Suburban 0: At Lower Dauphin, the No. 7 seed Trojans dropped a District 3 Class 3-A quarterfinal to No. 2 seed Lower Dauphin. Suburban's season ends at 10-3. Lower Dauphin improved to 12-0-1.
Cumberland Valley 2, Northeastern 1: At Cumberland Valley, the No. 5 seed Bobcats dropped a decision to No. 4 seed Cumberland Valley in a District 3 Class 4-A quarterfinal. York-Adams Division I champion Northeastern finished at 12-3. Cumberland Valley moved to 14-1. Alex Afata scored the Bobcats' goal. Phillip Lundblad and Sam Lundblad had the CV goals.
GIRLS' SOCCER
Manheim Twp. 1, Dallastown 0: At Neffsville, the No. 7 seed Wildcats saw their season end with a District 3 Class 4-A quarterfinal loss to No. 2 seed Manheim Twp. Dallastown finished at 12-3. Manheim Twp. improved to 12-1. Caroline Wood's goal in the 51st minute accounted for the game's only score.
Central Dauphin 5, Central York 0: At Central York, No. 3 seed Central York was blanked by No. 6 seed Central Dauphin in a District 3 Class 4-A battle. York-Adams Division I champion Central York suffered its first loss of the season and finished at 14-1. Central Dauphin improved to 12-1.
Lampeter-Strasburg 1, Gettysburg 0, 2-OT: At Gettysburg, Molly Bucher scored in the second overtime, off an assist from Ashlynn Keys, to give Lampeter-Strasburg the District 3 Class 3-A quarterfinal victory. No. 3 seed Gettysburg, the York-Adams Division II champion, suffered its first loss and finished at 12-1. No. 6 seed L-S improved to 9-3-2.
FIELD HOCKEY
Bermudian Springs 3, Biglerville 0: At York Springs, Melanie Beall scored a pair of goals to help the No. 2 seed Eagles down the No. 7 seed Canners in a District 3 Class 1-A quarterfinal. York-Adams Division IV champion Bermudian improved to 14-0. Biglerville finished at 9-4-1. It was Bermudian's third win this season over Biglerville. Lindsey Kutz also scored for Bermudian, which moves to the semifinals at 1 p.m. Saturday in York Springs against No. 6 seed Newport (8-2), which earned a 3-1 decision over No. 3 seed Lancaster Mennonite (10-3) in its quarterfinal on Wednesday.
Cumberland Valley 3, Dallastown 1: At Dallastown, No. 6 seed Cumberland Valley downed No. 3 seed Dallastown in a District 3 Class 3-A quarterfinal. York-Adams Division I champion Dallastown finished at 12-2. Cumberland Valley moved to 10-3-1. Ava Markel had Dallastown's score.
Central Dauphin 11, Central York 1: At Central Dauphin, the No. 7 seed Panthers were no match for the No. 2 seed Rams in a District 3 Class 3-A quarterfinal contest. Central York's season ends at 11-3. Central Dauphin moves to 13-1. Victoria Whitehead had Central York's goal. Hope Rose had eight goals and an assist for Central Dauphin.
Hershey 7, New Oxford 0: At New Oxford, the No. 2 seed Colonials, the York-Adams Division II champions, saw their season end at 11-2 with a District 3 Class 2-A quarterfinal setback. No. 7 seed Hershey improved to 10-4.
Greenwood 8, Eastern York 0: At Wrightsville, No. 5 seed Greenwood dominated No. 4 seed Eastern York in a District 3 1-A quarterfinal. York-Adams Division III champion Eastern sees its season end at 10-4. Greenwood moved to 9-2.
