The Dallastown Wildcats have thrown the York-Adams Division I girls' tennis race into a complete jumble.
Dallastown rallied for a 3-2 triumph at New Oxford on Tuesday afternoon, handing the first-place Colonials their first York-Adams Division I loss of the season.
The Wildcats improved to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in D-I. New Oxford dropped to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the division.
South Western and Central York also have just one D-I loss each.
Meghan Salaga earned a key three-set victory for the Wildcats at No. 1 singles, rallying from a 4-1 deficit in the third set to earn a 6-4 triumph over Kamdyn Balko, clinching the victory over the Colonials.
Balko won the first set, 6-3, before Salaga came back to even things up with a 6-1 win in the second set. Balko is one of the top players in the York-Adams League, having finished second a season ago in the Y-A Class 3-A Girls' Tennis Singles Tournament.
Morgan Kistler grabbed a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles for Dallastown. The Wildcats' other point came at No. 2 doubles, where they grabbed a 6-4, 6-4 triumph behind Bria Beverly and Emily Sarra.
New Oxford's points came from Maddie Markle at No. 3 singles and Eryn Little and Molly Socks at No. 1 doubles. Both New Oxford wins came in straight sets.
Kennard-Dale 5, Bermudian Springs 0: At York Springs, the Rams rolled behind straight-set singles wins from Brianna Miller, Megan Hawkins and Julie Rubelmann. K-D got doubles wins from Meghan Silva/Grace Maccarelli and Shannon Fletcher/Briannna Serruto.
Red Land 3, West York 2: At West York, the Bulldogs got wins from Chloe Hoover in singles and Sadie Mikula and Sarah DePasquale in doubles.
Dallastown 3, Northeastern 0: At Dallastown, the Wildcats won, 26-24, 25-12, 25-16. Ellie Stump led the Wildcats with 11 kills. Also for Dallastown, Izzy Ream had 29 assists, Lydia Stump had nine kills and Syd Ohl had four kills, three aces and three digs. For the Bobcats, Lauren Kelly had six kills and five digs, Ashlie Kohr had three kills and 10 digs and Natalie Martin had three kills and three digs. Dallastown won the JV match, 25-23, 25-16.
Dover 3, Spring Grove 0: At Spring Grove, the Eagles rolled to a 25-7, 25-14, 25-10 victory. Leading Dover were Chayce Hoffman (20 kills, 10 assists, five aces, three blocks), Emma Davis (12 kills, 10 digs) and Abby Diehl (seven digs, 30 assists). Dover improved to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in York-Adams Division I. The Spring Grove leaders were Maddie Ruhland (eight assists) and Nevaeh Wolfe (seven digs). Spring Grove won the JV match, 2-0.
York Catholic 3, Bermudian Springs 0: At York Catholic, the Irish won, 25-15, 25-13, 25-14. Individually for the Irish, Madeline Walker had seven digs, seven assists and four aces, McKenna Walker had eight digs, three assists and three aces, Hope Leavy-Gaskins had eight kills and three digs and Julia Yanick had four kills. The Irish improved to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in York-Adams Division III. York Catholic won the JV match, 2-0.
Central York 3, South Western 0: At Hanover, the Panthers cruised, 25-22, 25-21, 25-21. The Panthers were paced by Linnea Prudell (27 assists, eight digs), Alexa Shorts (14 kills, four aces, 12 digs) and Alexis Southivong (15 digs). Central improved to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in York-Adams Division I. Central won the JV match, 27-25, 25-13.
West York 3, Eastern York 0: At West York, the Bulldogs were victorious, 25-18, 25-20, 25-17. Gianna Krinock (six digs, 11 kills, five blocks), Kam Hepler (10 digs) and Taylor Morley (seven digs, 24 assists) led the Bulldogs. West York improved to 5-1 overall and 5-0 in York-Adams Division II. Eastern was paced by Olivia Koicuba (15 digs), Sarah Moore (14 kills) and Katie Lehman (23 assists, five digs).
York Suburban 3, Susquehannock 0: At Suburban, the Trojans triumphed, 25-22, 25-16, 25-20, to improve to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in York-Adams Division II. Suburban's stat leaders were Lauren Guyer (28 assists, 10 digs), Ellana Rodgers (12 kills, six digs) and Caitlin Springer (12 digs). Susquehannock's leaders were Emily Sweitzer (10 assists, 13 digs), Emma Sieling (six kills 12 digs), Savannah Lesley (six kills, 10 digs) and Nikki Gianzanti (15 digs).
York Tech 4, Delone Catholic 2: At Tech, Skyy Reisinger scored two goals and Allyson Stine and Victoria Markle added one each to lead the Spartans. Keera Dypler made eight saves to get the win in goal.
