PREP ROUNDUP: York Catholic golf team remains unbeaten in York-Adams Division III action


The York Catholic golf team continued its dominance of York-Adams Division III on Wednesday at Flatbush Golf Course near Littlestown.

The Fighting Irish improved to 20-0 in D-III by finishing first with a 343 total. Delone was second for a fourth straight D-III tournament at 357. The Squires' division mark stands at 16-4.

Fairfield was third on Wednesday at 371, followed by Bermudian Springs (379), York Tech (405) and Hanover (420).

York Catholic's Russ McPaul was the individual medalist with a 2-over-par 73. York Tech's Alex May was second at 77, followed by Bermudian's Austin Brandt at 81, Daniel Hardman at 82 and Bermudian's Tucker Byers and York Catholic's Nolan Wisniewski at 83.


York Suburban 5, Dover 0: At Suburban, the Trojans received singles victories from Alex Clancy, Liv Pindzola and Zoe Prats. In doubles, Ini Ekaha and Alivia Halza won the No. 1 match, while Sophie Gilbert and Janelle Rice won the No. 2 match. 

Kennard-Dale 5, Hanover 0: At Fawn Grove, the Rams received singles victories from Brianna Miller, Megan Hawkins and Julie Rubelmann. In doubles, Meghan Silva and Grace Maccarelli captured the No. 1 match, while Shannon Fletcher and Tori Santoriello captured the No. 2 match.

York Catholic 5, Biglerville 0: At Springettsbury Park, the Irish received singles victories from Annie Stitch, Clare Brennen, and Natalie Kerchner. In doubles, Becca Marinelli and Abby Wurzbach combined to win the No. 1 match, while Maggie Bowser and Lori Schlosser won by default. 



Spring Grove 3, Kennard-Dale 0: At Fawn Grove, the Rockets won the match, 25-9, 25-14, 27-25. Sophia Kline led the Rockets with 10 kills and four aces. Also for Spring Grove, Hailey Marcionette had seven kills and 10 digs, Kaylyn Zeigler had 17 assists and four kills and Falyn McGlynn had five kills, seven digs and four aces. Spring Grove won the JV match, 2-0. No Rams statistics were available.
