PREP: Helped by seven pins, Eastern York cruises to 54-12 westling triumph over York Tech


Helped by seven pins, the Eastern York wrestling team rolled to a 54-12 triumph over visiting York Tech on Monday night, Dec. 11.

The Golden Knights received pins from Desmond Waltman (120), Justin Manganello (132), Zach Dice (138), Nathan Robbins (145), Dylan Prugar (152), Jashim Snyder (195)  and Carl Carbaugh (220).

For the Spartans, Kameron Bly (106) and Isiah Smith (285) each picked up a pin. 


Susquehannock earns first win: In a battle between two winless teams in the Central Penn Interscholastic Hockey League's Rothrock Division, it was Susquehannock who got the better of rival Dallastown.

Susquehannock downed Dallastown, 9-1, at York City Ice Arena. Susquehannock is now 1-7-2, while Dallastown is 0-9-1.

Alan Reider had a hat trick for Susquehannock, while Ryan Myers had two goals and two assists. Four other Susquehannock players scored. Dallastown's only goal came from Ian Smith in the third period.

Central York remains in first: In a Rothrock Division battle featuring two of the top-three teams, Central York hung on for a 7-6 victory over the Shamrocks at York City Ice Arena.

Central is now 8-1, while the Shamrocks fell to 6-1-1. Jordan Kline had a hat trick for Central York, while Jacob Nagy added two goals and two assists.
