Northeastern got goals from five different players en route to a 5-1 boys' soccer triumph at Dover on Monday, Oct. 16.

D.J. Hamilton, Ben Hays, Alex Afata, Lance Fries and Noah Harzfeld scored for the Bobcats. Harzfeld also had two assists, while Carter Crebs and Ryan McElwain also provided assists.

Luis Herazo scored for Dover's goal. Dakota Dehoff had six saves for the Eagles.

VOLLEYBALL

York Catholic 3, Lititz Christian 0: At Lititz, the Irish won, 25-14, 25-20, 25-22. Abby Pilkey led the Irish with 10 kills and three blocks. Also for York Catholic, Bella Kepner had seven kills and five digs, Megan Daugherty had 21 assists and McKenna Walker had 15 digs. York Catholic won the JV match, 2-0.

Spring Grove 3, Hanover 0: At Hanover, the Rockets won, 25-22, 25-12, 25-14. Kaylyn Zeigler led the Rockets with 11 assists, six digs, five kills and three aces. Also for the Rockets, Hailey Marcionette had 11 assists, six digs, three kills and three aces, Airika McCaskill had six kills and Kendra Miller had four kills and four digs. For the Hawkettes, Ally Montour had four kills, four digs and five blocks, while Nakhaiya Jacobs had five kills and eight digs. Spring Grove won the JV match, 2-0.

York Suburban 3, Chambersburg 1: At Suburban, the Trojans rallied for a 21-25, 25-21, 26-24, 26-24 victory. Lauren Guyer (39 assists, 14 digs), Chey Buckingham (10 kills, seven digs), Ali Reinecker (17 kills, 23 digs) and Eryn McBride (31 digs) led Suburban. Suburban won the JV match, 2-0.

Eastern York 3, McCaskey 0: At Wrightsville, the Golden Knights cruised, 25-14, 25-14, 25-12. Sarah Moore (seven kills), Katie Lehman (16 assists, five aces) and Morgan Dobbeck (five digs) paced the Knights.

GIRLS' TENNIS

Dallastown, New Oxford suffer district losses: The York-Adams League won't produce a District 3 Class 3-A girls' tennis team champion in 2017.

Dallastown and New Oxford both suffered quarterfinal losses on Monday.

The fifth-seeded Wildcats dropped a 3-0 decision to fourth-seeded Hempfield, while the sixth-seeded Colonials suffered a 4-1 loss to third-seeded Central Dauphin.

The Dallastown match was played at Racquet Club West in Lancaster, while the New Oxford match was at Hershey Racquet Club.

FIELD HOCKEY

Lancaster Country Day 1, York Suburban 0: At Suburban, Natalie Fuhrman made four saves in a losing cause. Suburban won the JV match, 2-0.
