Taylor Lamparter struck out 12 in a complete-game effort to lead the Dover softball team to a 5-2 triumph over visiting South Western on Monday.
Lamparter also connected for two hits at the plate.
Also for Dover, freshman Alyssa Bowlsbey went 3 for 3 with four RBIs, while Cassandra Root and Kessler Parr each doubled.
West York 8, New Oxford 4: At West York, the home team scored all of its runs in the fourth inning. Leah Jameson (triple, run, three RBIs), Skylar Sweitzer (two hits, run) and Paige Weekly (hit, two RBIs, run) led the Bulldogs' offense. Gabrielle Illyes got the win on the mound, pitching a complete game and allowed three earned runs on four hits with three strikeouts and zero walks.
Dallastown 11, Northeastern 2: At Northeastern, Kelsie Merriman had a big day at the plate and in the circle in helping the Wildcats cruise to victory. Merriman tossed all seven innings, scattering five hits, striking out out eight and not issuing any walks. At the plate, Merriman had four doubles and drove in four runs. Ciara Coombes had a pair of hits for the Bobcats.
Eastern York 13, York Tech 3 (5 innings): At Wrightsville, Maelynn Leber led the Golden Knights by starting the game on the mound and throwing four innings to pick up the win. She also connected for a homer at the plate. Teammate Katie Lehman also connected for a homer.
Gettysburg 10, Red Lion 2: At Gettysburg, Megan Teal went 2 for 3 with a double and one run scored for the Lions, while Kaitlyn Collins went 2 for 3 with one run scored and Hailey Inguanti went 2 for 4, including a double.
Mechanicsburg 3, Eastern York 0: At Wrightsville, the Wildcats won the non-league match, 25-14, 25-20, 25-16. For the Golden Knights, Greg Houck had three kills, three digs and 15 assists, while Ben Leaman had four kills and four digs and Koury Green had four kills and three digs. Mechanicsburg won the JV match, 2-0.
