PREP: Doubles teams spark West York boys to tennis win


West York swept the doubles matches in straight sets to earn a 3-2 boys' tennis triumph over Biglerville on Monday.

Noah Sanderson and Jack Citrone won at No. 1 doubles, while Aaron Stover and Jacob Landis triumphed at No. 2 doubles.


The Bulldogs got their other point in straight sets from Augustine Citrone at No. 3 singles.


York Suburban 5, Hanover 0: At Hanover, the Trojans received straight-set singles victories from Tyr Abendschoen, Dan Lee and Drew Thompson. In doubles, Tom Platts and Shobhit Khurana captured the No. 1 match, while Robbie Bell and Liam Waterbury won the No. 2 match.

Central York 4, Dover 1: At Dover, the Panthers received singles victories from Lohan Rossi and Mike Visco, while in doubles, Bryan Stanley and Cameron Hughes won the No. 1 match, while Quinn Bacha and Michael Gilliland won the No. 2 match. For the Eagles, Michael Kozuch won a singles match.

New Oxford 4, Spring Grove 1: At Spring Grove, the Colonials received singles victories from Justin Gruver and Michael Pagnanelli. For the Rockets, Luke Senft won a singles match.

South Western 5, Susquehannock 0: At Hanover, Garvin Kenny, Vince Guy and Wyatt Laudicina each captured a singles victory for the Mustangs.

Dallastown 4, Cedar Crest 1: At Dallastown, Holden Koons and Jonathan Burns each captured singles victories for Dallastown, while David Trimmer and Nichk Istvanic won the No. 1 doubles match and Tyler Lilie and Logan Maddox won the No. 2 match.

York Catholic 4, Delone Catholic 1: At McSherrystown, the Fighting Irish won all three singles matches, as well as No. 2 doubles to down their Catholic school rivals. Nick Bartkowiak won No. 1 singles, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2; Nicholas Gingerich won No. 2 singles, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2; and T.J. McGraw won No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-0, while the team of Joey Schwamb/Seung Ho Jung won No. 2 doubles, 6-0, 6-0.


Spring Grove 3, Garden Spot 1: At Spring Grove, the Rockets won the first two games and, after dropping the third, controlled the fourth to knock off Garden Spot, 25-20, 25-22, 23-25, 25-16. Noah Wilson and Aaron Gunarich each had a team-high eight kills, while Gunarich also had 15 digs and Luke Hoffnagle passed for 26 assists. Colton Anderson and Wilson each had 11 digs. Garden Spot won the JV match, 2-1.


Hershey 18, Spring Grove 8: At Spring Grove, Tanner Bolton led the Rockets by scoring three goals and adding one assist. Dylan Griffiths scored two goals and added one assist for Spring Grove, while Nick Gregory scored one goal and added one assist.


Susquehannock 18, Dallastown 7: At Dallastown, the Warriors scored nine goals in each half to roll over the Wildcats. Gena Speights led Susquehannock with six goals and two assists, while Rachel Marshner added five goals and an assist. Danni Dubois led Dallastown with four goals.
