Dover scored three times each in the fifth and seventh innings en route to an 8-0 baseball victory at York Suburban on Wednesday afternoon.
Alan Hansel and Tad Pequignot each roped doubles in the game for Dover, while Hansel also earned the win on the mound, pitching a shutout, allowing four hits and two walks, while striking out four. Nick Miller, Brad Smith, Ryan Day and Brendan Delridge all recorded hits for Suburban.
Dover 5, Biglerville 2: At Dover, the Eagles captured four out of the five singles matches to secure the victory. Truman Metz, Luke Lightner, Michael Kozuch and Damien Potts each captured a singles match for the Eagles.
Delone 6, Susquehannock 1: At McSherrystown, Nick Durski won in singles and doubles to spark the Squires. Brandon Paules and Zach Beam won at No. 2 doubles for Susquehannock.
Cedar Crest 5, Red Lion 0: At Lebanon, the Lions dropped a non-league battle vs. the Falcons.
New Oxford 7, Northeastern 0: At Manchester, Joey Stiles, Josiah Forry, Justin Gruver and Justin Klunk each won in singles and doubles to spark the Colonials.
York Suburban 16, Bermudian Springs 6 (6 Innings): At York Springs, Olivia Eytcheson led the Trojans by going 2 for 3, including a homer, and collecting four RBIs. Also for Suburban, Zoe Prats went 2 for 4, including a triple, with three RBIs; Emily Myers went 2 for 4; and Sarah Hartinger went 2 for 5 with two RBIs. For the Eagles, Morgan Williams went 2 for 4 with a homer and three RBIs.
Red Land 6, Dover 2: At Dover, the Eagles dropped the non-league contest despite two hits and run scored from Alyssa Lawton and a double from Natalie Cutright. Taylor Artley pitched a complete-game four-hitter for Red Land, striking out 11. Dover's Taylor Lamparter struck out five after coming on in the fourth in relief for Dover.
New Oxford 5, Red Lion 4 (8 innings): At New Oxford, the Lions suffered an extra-inning setback. Kaitlin Collins doubled for the Lions, who were outhit, 12-6. Kelsey Becker tripled for New Oxford, while Hannah Mitchell doubled. Megan Teal pitched a complete for Red Lion, as did Alanna Molz for New Oxford.
Eastern York 100, Kennard-Dale 40: At Wrightsville, the Golden Knights captured first in all 11 track events to grab the win. Individually for the Golden Knights, Reajon Treasure won the 100 and 400.
Eastern York 119, Kennard-Dale 16: At Wrightsville, Maura DeReemer led the Golden Knights by capturing individual wins in the javelin, shot put and discus. Also for Eastern, Taylor Currier won the triple jump and long jump, while Hannah Myers won the 200 and 400. As a team, the Knights captured first in 14 of 16 events.
York Suburban 3, Palmyra 1: At Palmyra, the Trojans won the non-league match, 21-25, 25-23, 25-16, 25-21. Jack Schultz led the Trojans with 16 kills. Also for Suburban, Sepehr Vakili had 10 kills and nine digs, Kaleb Ansell had 30 assists and 10 digs and Zach Weinstein had 13 digs and four kills.
