Batt shines in ice hockey triumph


A pair of Remington Batt goals in the second period helped Central York/Dallastown pull away for a 4-2 victory over Susquehannock on Wednesday evening in a Central Penn Interscholastic Hockey League Tier 3 contest at the York City Ice Arena.


Jackson Rock scored the first period’s only goal to give CY/DT an early 1-0 lead. Batt’s markers had his team ahead 3-0 after two periods. Nathan Smith and Nicolas Prego scored goals in the third period for Susquehannock, with Smith assisting on Prego’s goal. Alan Reider scored in the third for the victors. Colin Young finished with a pair of assists in the winning effort.

Griffin Long made 24 saves to collect the win in net. His counterpart, Susquehannock’s Hayden Folfas, stopped 26 shots.
